The Great harlot


What can be said about this very famous line repeatedly spoken of throughout the course of history? As many minds have given themselves over to studying one interpretation or another from time to time. To give us an opinion about who she really is?

Obviously, the name, The Great Harlot, just in itself is rather self explanatory. It is found in Revelation 17:1 : “...Come here, I shall show you the judgement of the great harlot who sits on many waters.``

Pretty direct statement when you take it in context about what is going on in Revelation 17.
Especially when you consider she has been found committing `acts of immortality`with those whom she has prostituted herself with.

Basically, the great harlot is simply an entity( person) with the same character as a prostitute. Only that being declared the great harlot, she obviously is the chief ringleader of all prostitutes. I suppose we could call her a Madam.

There have been many of views about who she really is and I suppose I could list the various interpretations that have been given to this prostitute. 

But in the words of one scholar who has so pointedly said once ``that if men must be reckoned with in the great day, for every vain and idle word they speak, much more for every vain and idle line they write.

Therefore, I will speak plainly and in my best judgement about who she is and why I have come to believe the Vatican is so inherently evil and wicked that it just goes to show you why so many people are turned away from the true faith which is found in Jesus Christ. Indeed the Vatican with all its pomp and ceremony has truly repudiated the faith of many. Even going as far as blasphemous heresy about what the Scriptures teach us.

God made it clear to His people of the Old Testament and then to His followers in the New Testament that he would not except nor tolerate any adultery in the spiritual sense when it came down to worshiping the one and true God. Since His people we`re from time to time tempted to go after strange gods. He( God) had to place safeguards to speak out against such egregious conduct. But sometimes complacency did breed contempt. 

So while we may be inclined to seek other pleasures or distractions while we wait upon the Lord. It is also crucial to remember that it is that very thing which may make us prone to becoming alienated from our true faith in Christ to seek other forms of gods, if you will. (money, power, pleasures of this world, the lust of the eyes, etc.)

And so the Vatican from its time of beginnings has always been keen on the things of the world and not on the things of Jesus Christ. (The things which make for peace.)

Jesus left us His Word in the way in which we ought to conduct ourselves as true believers here on earth and so while ``Jesus therefore perceiving that they were intending to come and take Him by force to make him King..`Jn 6:15 The Vatican on the other hand gladly accepts its head of state by appointing a Pope. And calling him( the pope) the Head of the church, when in fact the Scriptures clearly tell us the head of the church is Christ Himself .Ephesians 5:22

Furthermore, the Pope and the Vatican clearly have political objectives. Since they we`re made the official religion of the Romans back in the days of Constantine. His Edict of Milan in A.D. 313 made Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. Hence we have Roman Catholics. Not too encouraging when we should be having Christianity and not Roman Catholism.

Although this was to be expected when Paul told the crowds at Ephesus to be on guard since he knew ``...that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.`Acts 20:29 Frankly, the Vatican should not surprise us in the least “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore, it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Make no bones about it. Jesus Christ had such an overwhelming impact on peoples spiritual awakening and revival that it also created and nurtured a cultural phenomena that even the Romans had to acknowledge existed. So having to deal with this new ``movement`` spreading across the land. Constantine made the calculated and political maneuvering to serve his self interest by keeping the power structure in Rome cohesive with the introduction of the states official religion. Hence started the Pope`s history. With his cardinals in tow.

`` But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who brought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgement from long ago is not idle and their destruction is not asleep.`2 Peter 2:!-3

And so began the Vatican and the Pope’s long standing tradition and persecutions of the saints throughout history.

Essentially, what occurred was the transferring of the guards. The Jewish Council , (Pharisees and Scribes) were exchanged for Popes and Cardinals. Same wolves but just different names and circumstances. The Vatican has come to hate Jesus Christ just as vehemently as the Pharisees and Scribes did when the Jewish laws were applicable in the time they handed down the death sentence to Christ. Ironically, both the Sanhedrin and the Vatican have had Christ as their chief enemy to their authority. Both of them feel their powers lessen by the teachings of Jesus Christ. So they persecute Christ by teaching false heresies.

Slowly, the years and centuries have come and gone and still the VATICAN and the Popes have become even more destructive in the heresies they teach. And so without going into the horrific details of their atrocities, we now come to the 21 st century and at long last the Vatican is about to get even more powerful when finally she will ride the back of the beast. See Revelation 17:7

Now I know some of you may be saying.’ Hey wait a minute, everybody makes mistakes and is fallible’. True but we do it in our name. But the Vatican and Pope do it in the name of Christ. Better we do our sins and mistakes on our own then take the cloak of truth and disguise our sins mischievously under the name of Truth?

The beast and the Vatican at long last finally coming together to achieve its main purpose and objective! And what are their purpose and objective? Who is the beast?

First of all, the beast is simply that of which Daniel spoke of in Daniel 2:31-45. When telling King Nebuchadnezzar his frightening dream.

Daniel went on to describe the four world kingdoms that were to rule the world until the day Christ would come back.

As we can see and observe throughout history. All four kingdoms have come and gone. Those would have been 1) Babylon 2) Medo-Persian 3) Greece and finally at 4) Rome

However, when Daniel was speaking to the King reference was made to the last kingdom , that of Rome, of being “partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron” as it would also be a “divided kingdom” Dan 2: 41

Now I know some are thinking about the United States of America and think , “what about them and their Superpower?” Unfortunately, the USA is not a world power. They cannot rule the world simply because they don’t have that power given to them. Yes, they are powerful but nothing comparing to the 4 world powers spoken of in Daniel. True, the Americans are the only ones to have used nuclear bombs but they cannot rule the world. Too many powers out there for them to attempt to do so! However, the Americans do play a crucial part in end times because they are the ones who safeguard the nation of Israel.

Remember God had promised long ago to “bless those who bless you” and to curse those who “curse you.” Genesis 12:3 So ever wonder why the Americans have had a long and great success? Its because they favored the Jewish people as they grew into a big nation.

God sticks to His word. He promised those people to bless them if they blessed His people.

Eventually, the Americans are going to find themselves in a catch 22 and so allow the compromising situation of making deals with the devil or other powers who wish Israel annihilated. 

If you examine the political landscape these days you will notice how hard pressed the Americans are to making some concessions on the Israeli conflict.( Only because they have bullied and have abused of their powers.( Which is only natural when you are so blessed as what Deuteronomy 28 says) Soon or later this will come to a climax when the Beast steps in and makes a big political gain.

So who is the beast?

In my opinion and going from what Daniel spoke of. I would have to say the emergence of Rome once again will become the Beast in which the Great harlot rides its back. And Rome today is alive and well through both the Vatican and the European Union.( Make your own due diligence to see if these things are true)

The European Union will become a world power once again. The Vatican will make sure of that.

You see the Vatican has always had its powers from existing kingdoms. They surreptitiously connive and manipulate for the sake of power. They want to make themselves out to be the guardians of truth. When in fact they are doing the devils work.
